Introduction
China plastics Expo (hereinafter referred to as the “Expo”), co-hosted by China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation, China National Petroleum Corporation, China Petroleum and Chemical Corporation, China National Light Industry Council and Yuyao Municipal People’s Government, is a large-scale professional expo for the plastics industry. The expo has been held for a successive of 18 sessions since Year 1999 in Yuyao and now has developed into a brand expo, most renowned and of the most influence in the plastics industry in China. The Expo was entitled “China (Yuyao) International Plastics Expo” in Year 2011 and became a UFI Approved Event on 14 October 2016, thus becoming one of the three UFI Approved Events in Ningbo. According to statistics, 8,754 exhibitors and 2.345 million visitors participated in the last 18 sessions of the Expo, making the total turnover 56.371 billion RMB. 497 Sino-overseas projects have been signed with a total investment of 10.2 billion US Dollars and the signed foreign capital investment reached up to 2.5 billion US Dollars. Besides, a group of national projects have been signed with a total investment of over 30 billion RMB. The Expo has been entitled “China Top 100 Brand Expos of the Most Influence”, “China Top 10 Brand Expos of the Most Influence”, “Gold Finger Award of the Exhibition Industry in China”, “China Top 10 Brand Expo of the Exhibition Industry” and “China Top 10 Brand Professional Expo”. Quality exhibitors include Sinopec, PetroChina, SinoChem, BASF, BAYER, EVONIK, ALBIS, MITSUBISHI, Polyplastics, Idemitsu Kosan, Idemitsu, Takaroku, Korea Engineering Plastics Co., Ltd., SK Holdings, Ascend Performance Materials LLC, Formosa Plastics Group, China Shenhua, Huajin Chemical Industries Group, Yuntianhua, VCN, Haitian, Coperion, Arburg, Demag, Keya, Wittmann, Chen Hsong Group, L.K. Group, Borche, Shuangma, Star Seiki Co., Ltd., Sumitomo, Toshiba, Chujen, FCS Group, Shini, Dayoo, Tederic and Yizumi, etc..
Last year, the Expo became a UFI Approved Event and boasted new exhibitors of Yanchang Petroleum Group, Covestro, Sabic and Formosa, etc., together with loyal exhibitors, bringing the latest products and high-technologies throughout the world.
Besides, the Twelfth International Forum for China Plastics Industry’s Development, being a major activity of the China (Yuyao) International Plastics Expo, was composed of 1 major forum and 5 sub forums. Leaders of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People’s Republic of China, China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation, China Plastics Machinery Industry Association, Plastics Europe, and representatives of CNPC, Sabic, Covestro, BASF, etc. had discussions on factors of finance, internet and intelligent manufacturing for the industrial transformation and development of the plastics industry. Karl Foerster, Chief Executive of the World plastics Council and Secretary General of Plastics Europe, made a speech on the “Sustainable Development of the Plastics”. Other activities include China-Iran Petrochemical Industrial Trading and Cooperation Symposium, Sinopec High Performance Plasthetics Promotion Conference, North Huajin Plastics Promotion Conference, East China-South China Plastics Industrial Development Forum, Lecture on Thermoplastic Elastomer Raw Materials for Creation of A New Environment-friendly Plastic Runway, Lecture on Automobile Accessories Industry & Industry 4.0, and the Ninth Ningbo New Materials Conference, attracting over 1,200 attendees to participate in the activities.
The Expo last year boasted a total of 2,000 exhibition booths, reserved by 389 exhibitors, receiving 25,000 effective visitors and realizing a total turnover of 3.6 billion RMB.
