In the year of Yuyao, the hometown of Yangming, a thousand lanterns and ten thousand blessings of golden snake dance were performed. Last night, our city held a series of cultural activities called "Yuyao New Year in Yangming Hometown" - the 2025 Yangming Ancient Town New Year Folk Lantern Festival lighting ceremony.

"At the lighting ceremony, 12 sets of intangible cultural heritage themed lanterns were lit up, including the Snake Offering Auspiciousness, Southeast Famous Town, Heart Lamp Praying for Blessing, Kirin spitting out books, Big Fish and Begonia, Yongye Star River, Yangming Blessing, Lingmao Zhaocai, Yaojiang Chunhui, and Fumen Welcoming Guests. The dazzling lanterns immediately attracted many citizens to stop and appreciate.

It is understood that this is the fourth folk lantern festival held in Yangming Ancient Town, which lasts from January 23 to Yuanxiao (Filled round balls made of glutinous rice-flour for Lantern Festival) Festival on February 12. During the lantern festival, Yangming Ancient Town will also launch a series of New Year activities around the theme of "Yuyao New Year in Yangming Hometown", including the "Thousand Lanterns and Ten Thousand Blessings Opera Rhythms" 2025 Yangming Ancient Town New Year Opera Gala, "Small Buildings and East Wind" scenario style ancient music performance, intangible cultural heritage interactive experience, Chinese style time travel show, martial arts performance, etc., bringing a unique Yuyao style New Year experience to the masses.
