Yuyao is located at 29-30°N 120-121°E and in the southern wing of the beautiful and rich Yangtze River Delta, bordering the Jiangbei District and the Yinzhou District of Ningbo in the east, with its southern Siming Mountain neighboring Fenghua and Shengzhou, Shangyu to the west, Cixi to the north and Qiantang River, the middle line of Hangzhou Bay and Haiyan County to the northwest. It takes only half an hour to drive to the Ningbo International Airport, 40 minutes to the large-scale Beilun Port in Ningbo, 1 hour to Xiaoshan International Airport of Hangzhou, 2 hours and a half to Shanghai via Shanghai-Hangzhou-Ningbo Expressway and 1 hour only to Shanghai via Hangzhou Bay Bridge. Yuyao has been incorporated into the “2-hour traffic circle” of Shanghai. Being a part of the Canal in East Zhejiang, Yaojiang River boasts convenient water and land transportation.
